Prof N. G. Ramesh, from the Department of Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, a pioneer in organic synthesis. Dr. Ramesh's innovative approaches to transforming glycals into nitrogen heterocycles showcase his commitment to pushing the boundaries of chemical discovery and innovation.

With a focus on the "Cleavage-Intramolecular Recombination Strategy," Dr. Ramesh's research aims to leverage the unique reactivity of glycals for synthesizing biologically important natural products and their derivatives. Through practical approaches for stereoselective mono- and diamination of glycals, he has developed a diverse array of nitrogen heterocycles and carbocycles, contributing significantly to the field of organic synthesis.
