ETFC24 was honoured to have Prof. Kamalakannan Kailasam, Scientist-G at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali, Punjab, India, as our esteemed invited speaker.

With a rich academic background and extensive research experience, Prof. Kailasam's expertise in the field of Material Chemistry has made significant contributions to energy and environmental applications.

After completing his M.Sc. at Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, India, and earning his Ph.D. at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, Prof. Kailasam further honed his skills through prestigious postdoctoral fellowships at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam, Germany, and the Technical University of Berlin. His research focuses on advanced functional nanomaterials for photocatalysis, gas storage, sensing, and cancer therapeutics.

Prof. Kailasam's accolades include the "CRSI Bronze Medal" and the "MRSI Medal," reflecting his significant contributions to the scientific community. As an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Chemistry and an Emerging Investigator in Materials Chemistry recognized by the Journal of Materials Chemistry A, 

Prof. Kailasam continues to lead groundbreaking research initiatives, driving progress in the field of Material Chemistry.
